FOUR DAYS.
20 PLAYERS. ONE GOAL.
From June 30 through July 3, 2026, Skill Mill Soccer hosted its Summer Clinic at the Jennifer Ross Soccer Complex, bringing together 20 motivated players for four days of focused training, competition, and player development.
The clinic was designed to provide more than just extra touches on the ball. Our goal was to create a structured and competitive environment where players could develop technically, improve their understanding of the game, make better decisions, and build confidence on the field.
With only 20 players, our coaching staff was able to maintain a high level of intensity while also providing players with individual attention, coaching, and feedback throughout the week.

KEY AREAS OF
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Throughout the four-day clinic, players were challenged through a combination of technical training, game-realistic exercises, competitive activities, and small-sided games.
Training focused on key areas of player development including:
But the focus wasn't simply on completing drills. Players were consistently encouraged to understand when, where, and why different actions should be used during a game.
TRAINING THAT
TRANSFERS TO THE GAME
At Skill Mill, we believe development happens when players are challenged to think as well as perform. Throughout the clinic, exercises progressed from technical repetition into increasingly realistic and competitive situations.
Players had opportunities to apply what they had learned through small-sided games and match-like scenarios, where they were required to make decisions under pressure, communicate with teammates, solve problems, and compete.
Our coaches provided instruction and feedback while also allowing players the freedom to make mistakes, find solutions, and develop confidence in their own decisions.
A FOCUSED
DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT
Having a group of 20 players allowed us to create the type of environment we value at Skill Mill.
Rather than getting lost in a large camp environment, players were able to receive more direct interaction, more meaningful repetitions, and more individualized feedback throughout the clinic.
Our goal was for every player to leave the week understanding not only what they did well, but also what they could continue improving.
MORE THAN
FOUR DAYS OF SOCCER
The objective of the Summer Clinic wasn't simply for players to finish four days of training. We wanted them to leave as more confident, more thoughtful, and more complete players.
Players were challenged physically and mentally, competed alongside other motivated players, and were placed in an environment where improvement was the priority. The result was four days that represented exactly what we want Skill Mill Soccer to stand for:
Technical repetition and focused skill work.
Understanding when, where, and why to act.
Small-sided games under real pressure.
Feedback, reflection, and continued development.
